Weight, the argument that matters most here

Slabs in Georgetown usually settle because clay beneath them shrank or washed out. Longevity and the honest unknowns

Slurry is dirt and cement: heavy, but natural, and if water moves beneath the slab it can wash out the way the original soil did. Repeat mudjacking of the same slab is a known story. Cured polyurethane is inert and hydrophobic; it does not shrink, feed anything, or wash away, and foam lifted slabs generally stay where they were put unless the soil beneath keeps moving, which no injection method prevents. Fair balance: foam's track record spans decades, not centuries, and some homeowners simply prefer not to inject plastic into their soil. That is a legitimate preference; just weigh it against re-doing the job.

Either way, fix the water first. If a slab settled because downspouts dump against it or grading funnels runoff beneath it, lifting without drainage correction schedules a rematch.

Cost, and why cheaper sometimes wins

Mudjacking's material is nearly free; foam resin is not. On large, plain exterior slabs, a long driveway, a big shop apron, where the job is mostly material volume and cosmetics are irrelevant, mudjacking's discount is real money for equal function.
